Gaming and Gambling
NRCS administers a compulsory specification for the control of gaming devices and related apparatus. The compulsory specification sets compulsory requirements for safety, fairness, security and reliability of gaming and bookmaking apparatus. NRCS is appointed to perform these functions in terms of the National Gambling Act (Act No 7 of 2004).

SERVICES
•    Evaluation of test reports from recognised test laboratories to determine compliance with the requirements of the compulsory specification;
•    Issuing Letters of Certification for gaming & gambling equipment (LOCs) to the manufacturer or supplier
•    General assistance to the NGB, provincial gaming boards and the gaming industry.
