|
NRCS sets the compulsory specification for plastic carrier and flat bags to prevent damage to the environment by discouraging littering.
SERVICES
NRCS -
• evaluates evidence of conformity (i.e. test reports and samples) to determine whether the requirements of the compulsory specification are met.
• issues a Letter of Authority to manufacturers or importers of conforming products permitting their sale, import or export.
• conducts inspections and sampling at manufacturers, importers and in the market to ensure that only approved products are sold, and that approved products continue to comply.
• maintains a database listing all registered manufacturers.
